Sydney Mufuka is our visual artist with a deep love for intentional design, and Jason Colebrooke is the heart and hands behind our kitchen alchemy. Sydney tends to the visual storytelling—shaping the look and feel of our packaging and guiding the energy behind our social spaces. Jason prepares our herbal extracts with care, overseeing the work that takes place in the kitchen, where many of our products are born. Recently, they reflected on their roles within Ecoslay and the work that brought Terra Sol to life.
Terra Sol’s Inception
About four years ago, Jason, adorned with locs lovingly styled by his sister, met Sydney, who was embracing the natural texture of her hair. Inspired by Jason's journey, Sydney too, chose to loc her hair. Having used Ecoslay products on her loose, natural hair for years, a gentle seed was planted within her – a vision for a line dedicated to the unique needs of locs.
“I kept telling my mom, oh my gosh, we need a loc line,” said Sydney.
