We’re a B Corp Now!

We are overjoyed to announce that Ecoslay is Georgia’s 38th newest certified B Corporation! Click here to read our press release announcement.

This process has been a year in the making, with our team communicating workplace needs with one another and working hard to improve our community and sustainability. Being a B Corp is a great accomplishment, but it’s also a big responsibility, and we intend to commit to this program and give you the details on what it means.

What is a B Corp, Anyway?

According to the B Lab Global Site, a B Corp Certification is a designation that a business meets high performance, accountability, and transparency standards. These standards range from employee benefits to supply chain practices. To put it simply, corporations become B Corps by…

  • Achieving a B Impact Assessment score of 80 or above and passing the risk review. (Ecoslay got a score of 104, by the way.)

  • Changing their corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, and achieving benefit corporation status if available in their jurisdiction, and

  • Allowing information about their performance measured against B Lab’s standards to be publicly available on their B Corp profile. Check out Ecoslay’s profile here.

Ecoslay’s B Corp Journey

Our founder and CEO, Adria Marshall, was applying for a magazine grant last year, and when she saw questions about her brand's scientific targets, she was unsure what that meant. So she decided to contact someone who might help her better understand.

“I said, instead of trying to fake the funk just to get this grant, I'm like, let me just really dig in and figure what it's all about.” said Marshall.

She contacted a fellow business owner, who introduced her to Nathan Stuck, who works with Profitable Purpose Consulting. As soon as Stuck introduced her to the concept of a B Corp, she was determined to make Ecoslay one.

“We're already really focused on sustainability, on community, on using really great ingredients, and on education.” said Marshall. “That's really what being a B Corp is. It really pulls together all of our values.”

After that, making Ecoslay a B Corp ensued with taking employee surveys, measuring volunteer hours, and reducing our overall consumption and water waste. This process was (and will continue to be) a big way for us to be held accountable for our worldwide impact. Ecoslay became B Corp certified in March 2025.

This Is Only The Beginning!

We thank our staff, CEO, and, most importantly, our community for helping us get here. Ecoslay’s goal from the beginning has been to help you improve your look and our planet, and as we grow, we want to do everything we can to maintain that. To keep being accountable, Ecoslay will be assessed yearly to keep its B Corp Certification—or risk losing it. We promise never to lose sight of our original purpose.
