I washed with Peppermint Schnapps and deep conditioned with Banana Cream deep conditioner. I rinsed my hair and left a little extra conditioner in my hair. Next, I added Vanilla Styling Whip and a little Jello Shot. My hair is very moisturized. I have type 4 hair. I didn’t experience any flaking. But, I did my hair in the shower and made sure my hair was soaking wet. The pictures I posted are day 6 hair.

A few months ago, a neighbor, who has 3 strands of grey hair, gave me her Silver Slay Styling Whip. My crown is mostly silver and a bit more wiry textured. The rest is gradient salt & pepper toward the back of my neck, which is still mostly black. I have coily/tight curly hair (FKA "4B/C"), and I exclusively wear my taper cut in a curly wash n' go. My grey hair tends to be dry in general, worse in the winter with cold air outside and dry heat inside, so I have been searching for a moisturizing gel with firm hold.
I tried Silver Slay and LOVE the smell, the slip, and the hold! It dries soft, but maintained my curls for more than 7 days with just 1 product- no need for a base and topper gel, so I was thrilled!!! However, I noticed significant flaking. I thought maybe it was user error, so I brought it to my stylist to apply. She also loved the slip, and my curls lasted for almost 10 days! But, once again, significant flaking to the point where I was embarrassed to wear dark colored tops, because after touching my hair, it looked like I had terrible dandruff! I received an email suggesting layering the Styling Whip with Jello-Shot. Maybe the additional product will eliminate flaking. I also noticed that most Ecoslay users featured on the website have wavy or loose curly textured hair. Perhaps this formula is not designed for coily or tight curly textured hair.

I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling with flakes. We recommend using a lot of water when using Ecoslay products, to prevent flaking and ensure maximum absorption. Our CEO has 4B curls and she uses Vanilla Styling Whip with Jello-Shot, and she swears by that combo.
