I usually classify myself as 2a/2b wavy, coarse and high porosity. For this wash I used a cowash, banana cream (rinsing about 80% out)and lemon drop to style. I have NEVER gotten such a low frizz cast before! Photo is before scrunching out crunch. It enhanced my waves to 2c or 3a in spots!! I’m thrilled. Ecoslay is all I am using for as long as they make it. So thankful I found your products🙏!!!

This was a really tough one for me. (TLDR at the end) To begin, it doesn't dispense like a regular foam but instead it dispenses like a runny foam-ish liquid. I had to contact support and go back and forth with them a lot until they asked for a video and said this is just how it foams. I've tried different dispensers. I've tried using it straight out of the fridge and I've tried it at room temperature. Because it dispenses like a runny foam-ish liquid, you have to be VERY careful with the application, otherwise you get concentrated tackiness. It doesn't spread and disperse easily, like normal styling products do, even on wet hair.
I also found that I can't use it as a simple styler on my hair because I end up with a wet look to my hair after breaking the cast. I hate the feel of my hair when it is in that wet look because it has this dried tacky feel to my hair. So using it as a hold styler on my hair was not a possibility. I tried mixing it with other stylers. I tried using it with only one other styler. I also tried using a cream underneath my hair to help counteract the foam's effect, but then I had to deal with lack of longevity with my waves. I really wanted this to work because I've searched high and low for truly clean styling products (to the point where I research each ingredient on the label) and there are VERY few foams/mousses that operate primarily as holding agents.

I have low porosity, fine strands, and thick hair that is color treated. This product has great hold! The crunchy cast was amazing once fully dried, much better than just Orange Marmalade alone. I used in combination with the full wavy line. The ONLY downside is that every other Ecoslay product has a beautifully light and delicate scent that dissipates over time, and this one is reminiscent of cleaning products. Moonshine hair oil had enough of a smell to tone it down some, but something to consider if you’re sensitive to smells!
